Thank you, thank you, thank you for staying with me and my music….without you I’m nothing. I am really grateful and feel blessed. Thank you for listening to my music, and checking in on my website.
I’m now working and rehearsing, rehearsing and working with some new songs for my next album that will be released (hopefully) autumn 2026. It has taken me some time, and I know many of you have been waiting for some new music, and I’m so very happy to announce that it will most likely be ready next year.
This year I have been doing concerts, studio-work, creating sketches for new projects and compositions.
The concerts about the strong women in music, what a wonderful project. What I thought was going to be a one-time-concert became a success and was so much fun to do together with my band. I did this concert at Arendal Jazz Club, Arendal Culture House, in Kristiansand @Posebyhaven Scene, in Mandal @Piren Kulturrom, a.o. – and we’ll be doing one concert next year in Tønsberg …. This one will be the last one together with my Strong Women In Music, I feel like using my energy on my next album, writing and rehearsing.
The video on this page is my way of honouring a long time friend: From the show honouring the theatre mananger, theatre director and friend Alex Scherpf. Some years back he staged the play about Edith Piaf’s life with me in the leading role as Piaf, and here we are honouring him with a show called «Dear Alex».
Alex was the first to believe in me – years before the play Piaf, and he was the first one to say I belonged on stage as an actor, as a singer and storyteller.
I’ve spent a whole lot of time first creating this concert/cabaret….. I had this idea about lifting some of our strong women in music up on stage both their music and their stories …… and the result became a 2 x 50 min. with compositions and words about 9 wonderful ladies.
Now I have listened to a recording from last year’s premiere (no, none of you will be able to listen to it – it’s for my ears only and my further work and critical listening) and I am so very proud: It is interesting, it is funny, it is deep, it includes some brilliant musicians (Kenneth Silden – pno and Espen Grundetjern – b), and there are some great songs….
This is more than worth a repeat this year! But in spite of how good these melodies are – I have replaced a couple of them with something I think fits even better.
AND: It’s really hard and crazy workout for my «vocal muscle» talking and singing for so long in so many different genres, but even with a tired voice… it’s a joy!
And the guys/my genuine conversation partners in music..what can one say: They’re awesome!
We are really looking forward to it… hope you feel like joining us along the way … so far tickets are available for our show in Arendal, Mandal and Kristiansand – (you’ll find links on the front page under «News» where you’ll also find «Menu» – or you can register at Bandsintown and purchase all tickets there – you’ll find link to Bandsintown by scrolling down)

De sterke damene i musikken are still going strong
